The College of Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit teamed up with Visteon and Osram to give 18 CCS seniors an opportunity to create new automotive lighting designs using the latest technology. CCS has been partnering with Visteon since 2002 and with Osram since 2010. The trio gave students a chance at hands-on design experience under the guidance of designers and engineers from Visteon and Osram as a class during the 2011 fall semester.
Lamborghini's factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, survived the recent earthquakes in the region undamaged. Production at the factory has resumed but deliveries of Lamborghini's 691-hp Aventador may be delayed because of supplier troubles. The initial sequence of earthquakes struck the Modena province of northern Italy on May 20 and was followed by another series of tremors on May 29.
Cadillac is relaunching in the UK after a disastrous year in which its European importer went bust locking its entire stock in the hands of the liquidators. Now Cadillac is back – and it’s promising a wider range of more relevant cars than before.
